INTERNAL  PRACTICAL AND VIVA EXAMINATION DATE OF RVD UNIVERSITY

 

Internal Practical and Viva Examination of RVd University will be held on 25th March 2016 at Examination Center  at  Siddhi Vinayak Public School, Bhopal from 11.00 AM. All the student are compulsory to attend the Practical Examination and Viva Examination.

 

 

ASSIGNMENT  OF KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY AND RAJASTHAN VIDHYAPEETH ( Deemed to be )UNIVERSITY FOR MARCH- 2016 EXAM.

All the students are hereby informed that the Assignment of  KSOU and RVD University has been uploaded . Student can get the Assignments from Download Section . It is Compulsory to Submit the Assignment before the Examination  otherwise student will not be allowed to appear in Examination

 

Rules & Regulations:

·         Weightage to internal and external assessment will be 25% and 75% respectively.

·         The minimum pass percentage is 40% in each theory and practical paper and 50 % in the aggregate.

·         Any student who has secured 50% aggregate but failed in individual paper (s) will be allowed to clear failed paper along with next higher semester examination like due paper (s), To clear failed paper(s) or due paper (s)student shall get two more additional chances in the next three consecutive examinations or before appearing in final examination. 

·         In case a candidate fails to secure 50% aggregate will be declare failed. He / She will have to reappear in all theory papers or due papers where he/she has scored less than 50% along with higher semester examination to clear lower semester examination. Candidate will get two or more chance before the commencement of final semester examination to clear the due paper.

·         Failed student(s) of due papers will have to deposit prescribed fee for each examination separately.

·         He / She will have to appear according to the current syllabus adopted for a particular session

·         After availing two additional chance student who have not passed in all failed papers or due papers and want to continue their study in same course will be treated as fresh student. Their all passed result will be cancelled and they will get admission in semester first or as per rules of lateral entry scheme in permitted course. 

·         Candidate who have passed in all theory papers and failed in practical & Viva Voce examinations will be declared failed and they will be required to reappear in the practical examination only at the next examination as ex-student. He/She will have to deposit the declared fee by the University. His previous assignment will be taken in account for declaration of the result.

·         If a student has already passed in practical & Viva Voce examinations and failed in theory examination will not be required to reappear in the practical examination when he reappears in theory papers at the subsequent examination as an ex-student.

·         Grace Marks: 
a) As per University rules a maximum of 06 marks i. e. 1% of the total aggregate marks in a semester examination will be awarded to a candidate.
b) Candidates loosing their I (First) division by only one marks, shall be eligible to one bonus marks. Division is awarded to a student at the end of semester IV, VI & VIII as per scheme adopted on the following basis: 

Ist with Honour

70 % and above

Ist Divsion

60 % and above but less than 70 %

IInd Division

50 % and above but less than 60 %

·         Re-evaluation of answer books shall not be permissible. However, re-totaling is permitted as per University Rules. Application for scrutiny of marks or re-totaling should be submitted to the Director, Directorate of Distance Education on plain paper along with the requisite fee of Rs. 75 per paper within 30 days from the date of declaration of the result. It is permissible in theory papers only, original marksheet should be enclosed with application.

·         In case a candidate fails to secure the aggregate marks and has passed in all individual papers prescribed for the examination shall be deemed to have passed in each such paper in which he / she has secured at least 50% marks and he / she will be deemed to have failed in such paper in which they have secured less than 50% marks. In this situation to obtain 50% aggregate a candidate will have to reappear in that paper/papers in which they have been unable to obtain 50% marks for this purpose additional chances will be given as ex-student before the consecutive of final examination. 

·         Not withstanding any other University rules in this behalf, a student shall not be given any chance to improve the division / marks in any paper or papers.

·         Students having secured less than 50% marks and failed in a maximum of three papers i.e. (below 40% in individual paper) may be promoted to the next semester provided the aggregate total marks become 50% or more taking a minimum of 40% marks in these three papers.

·         Failures will be allowed to appear at the ensuing examination as ex-students, only two chance will be permitted. He will be considered to be out of this stream whether the opportunity is availed or not. He / She will have to appear according to the current syllabus adopted for a particular session.

·         University will have the right to change the rules without any prior information.

Incase, any mistake is detected in the marksheet, after it has been issued, the University will have the right to call it back and cancel the same. A fresh marksheet will be issued on its place.

 

Program Evolution

 

The System of Evalution for Distance Education Program.

1) Self Learning Material with in each unit of the SLMs.

2) Continuous evalution, mainly through Assignment Tutor Marked (TMAs) or Computer marked (CMAs) for theory as well as practical of each course and Seminar/Project/ Workshop/Training.

3) The Term End Examination for theory, practical & viva as per rules of the University.

 

Marks Distribution and Minimum passing marks.

1) A candidate shall be declared passed in the examination, if he/she secures at least 40% marks in internal assignment and external examination separately and 50% marks in the aggregate including practical and project.

2) Candidate are required to passing Theory as well as in Practical subjects separately. A candidate who secures above 50% marks and below 60% marks will be awarded grade C and above 60% and below 75% marks grade B and above 75% marks Grade A in the Final Semester/Year.

3) No grace marks shall be awarded individually in Assignment, Practical and Project. The grace marks will be awarded only on aggregate marks of the Theory papers upto 1% maximum of two papers. No Grace Marks will be awarded in due papers.

 

Scheme of Examination For RVD

Theory Examination:

Each Theory Exam of each course (paper) is of 100 marks (External exam university theory paper 75 marks +lntenal marks 25 awarded by Institute) and minimum passing percentage is 40% marks.

 

Results:

i)      Eight week after the completion of the examination or as soon as possible thereafter, the
University shall publish the result will be published on website
www.rvduniversity.com and
the mark cord will be sent to the respective Study Centre. Candidates who have
successfully cleared all the papers shall be awarded a degree.

ii)     Successful candidates who obtain 60% or more of the aggregate marks of all the semester
examination taken together shall be placed in the first division, those who obtain 50% marks
or more but less than 60% in the second division. Successful candidates who obtain 70% or
more marks in the aggregate shall be placed in the first division with distinction.

iii)    For any student failing in some paper, if they pass in re-sitting, fresh mark list showing the
marks obtained in previous semester as will as present semester will be issued to them.

 

Promotion:

i)      Student shall be promoted to the next semester irrespective of number of papers failed but
the student shall clear all the previous pending paper before enrolling for the final semester.

ii)     The student can enroll for the next semester before the announcement of the result.

iii)    A candidate who fails or remains absent in in one or more papers or complete semester will
be eligible to reappear for both the examination i.e. previous as well as present to be
conducted by the University.

Lateral Entry / Exemption

1. Students who have passed Diploma in any branch of Engineering from State/Central Govt, recognised Technical Board / Institution / University or B.Sc. in any stream with subject as Mathematics shall be allowed direct admission in 2nd year i.e. (Ill semester) of B.Tech. Such candidate may also change their branch of study B.Tech. level.

2. 12th Technical or I.T.I, or M.C.V.C. or N.C.V.T. or Certificate course from RVD, Udaipur or equivalent can join any brach in the 2nd year (III semester) of Diploma irrespective of their trade.

3. Exemptions may be granted in paper(s) or semester(s) depending on the subject(s) cleared by the candidate by actually passing of the subject(s) and successfully completing the exam, which include those subjects from the recognized Institution/colleges/University. Exemptions if eligible are not to be taken for 'granted' but must be asked for while submitting the Registration and Exam form along with the attested copies of relevant certificates, marksheets and exemption fee. Exemptions granted will be shown only in the mark list of the examination sent to the candidates. No separate individual intimation will be given.

4. The students who are doing similar courses from a recognized University / Board of Education / Institution will be allowed to join the next semester for the same course but in this case the student shall be appearing for the paper which were not covered in the previous semester but the student has to study at least for two years in the University for the award of certificate.

 

Transfer:

·         Normally the change of Study Centre is not encouraged by the University but in some exceptional cases the change of Study Centre by the student may be entertained.

·         The candidates will not be allowed to change their Study Centre in the same city, but in exceptional cases student will have to take NOC from the Study Centre and the University.

·         Change of Study Centre in mid session is not allowed under any circumstances.

Under abnormal condition if the student wants to change the Study Centre outside the city of there present Study Centre then they have to first obtain the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the existing Study Centre and has to submit the same along with the re-registration form to the center where they want to join but before doing so they have to first obtain the permission from the University.
